Made for the trip. The lightest trike we sell at 5.6 kg, in three colours your child gets to pick from. Converts from a parent-pushed stroller to a trike they ride themselves, from 10 months to 3 years.
Patented 360° one-handed steering, a front wheel shock absorber and a 5-point harness.
The lightest trike we sell. At 5.6 kg it lifts one-handed, which matters most when you are getting it into a boot with a child on your hip.
Three colours, not one. Aqua, Blush and Black. Children who choose their own tend to want to use it, which is the point of a trike they can eventually pedal themselves.
The same patented steering. 360° one-handed control, the feature the whole smarTrike range was designed around. Nothing about how it handles is cut back.
Certified as a stroller, not a toy. Tested to stroller safety standards rather than toy standards, with a 5-point harness, a safety bumper bar with press-button release, a front wheel shock absorber and a rear brake. The safety engineering does not change with the price.
Folds in seconds. No tools, nothing to detach, and suitable for carry-on on many airlines. Cabin limits vary, so check with your airline before you fly.
It grows with them. Four modes from 10 months to around 3 years, so it replaces a second stroller, a first trike and a balance-bike stage with one product.
Stroller mode. From 10 months. Your child is harnessed and supported, the pedals are locked, and you steer from the parent handle.
Trike mode. Once they can hold the handlebars. They ride and you keep control.
Training mode. As their feet reach the pedals. They power the trike, you guide direction from behind.
Free riding. The parent handle comes off and the trike is entirely theirs to steer and pedal.
There is no fixed age for each switch. Follow your child rather than the calendar.

Holidays, visits to grandparents, the occasional big day out. The Wind is a stroller trike that does everything one needs to do, in three colours your child gets to pick from, at the most affordable way into smarTrike.
Why it exists
Not every family needs a trike built for daily use across two and a half years. If yours comes out for holidays, weekends away and the occasional long day, the Wind covers all of it. Same patented steering, same stroller safety certification, same four modes as your child grows. Just without paying for the everyday engineering you would not use.
Aqua, Blush and Black
Three colourways, so the trike becomes theirs rather than something you chose for them. Children who choose their own ride tend to want to use it, which is the whole point of a trike they can eventually pedal themselves.
5.6 kg, folds in seconds
At 5.6 kg the Wind lifts one-handed, and it folds down in seconds with no tools and nothing to detach. Compact enough for a boot with the luggage already in it, and suitable for carry-on on many airlines.
Patented 360° steering
The same patented steering system as the rest of the smarTrike range. Turn on the spot, reverse smoothly through corners, and back out of a lift without lifting the trike. Nothing about how it handles is cut back.
Certified as a stroller, not a toy
The Wind is tested to stroller safety standards rather than toy standards, which is the higher bar in child mobility. That is the same certification the whole smarTrike range carries.
Front wheel shock absorber
A shock absorber on the front wheel takes the jolt out of kerbs, tram tracks and cracked footpaths, so the ride stays comfortable on the surfaces you actually cross.
10 months to 3 years
It changes shape as your child does, so you are not buying a pram, then a trike, then a balance bike.

Using it more than that?
If this will be used most weeks rather than most holidays, look at the Wonder range. Better seat fabrics for hours in the seat, upgraded wheels for daily kerbs and rougher ground, and a sturdier frame built to still feel solid at year three. The Wonder max is also the only smarTrike suitable from 6 months, because its seat reclines to 140°.
Compare all fiveQuestions
From 10 months to around 3 years. Your child needs to be able to sit up unaided. If your child is younger than 10 months, the Wonder max is the only smarTrike designed for them, because it is the only one with a reclining seat.
Both convert through the same four modes and share the same patented 360 degree steering and stroller safety certification. The Wonder range uses better seat fabrics, upgraded wheels and a sturdier frame, because it is built for daily use over years rather than occasional and travel use.
