Buying guide
Five stroller trikes, two ranges, one idea. Every smarTrike converts from a parent-pushed stroller into a trike your child rides themselves. Three questions will get you to the right one in about two minutes.
Three quick questions. Or scroll past and read the full guide below.
How old is your child?
How often will you use it?
What matters most to you?
This is the question that decides the range. Both are certified to the same stroller safety standards and both use the same patented 360° steering. What changes is how they are built to handle it.

Made for the trip. Holidays, visits to grandparents, the occasional big day out. Everything a stroller trike needs to do, without paying for daily-use engineering you will not use.
From $249.99

Made for every day. The school run, the market, the beach path, five days a week for two and a half years. Built with better fabrics, upgraded wheels and a sturdier frame because it will be used harder and for longer.
From $389.00
Each range has its own step up. In the Wind range it is extra features. In the Wonder range it is comfort for longer days, and how early your child can start.
The Wind range
Both suit 10 months to 3 years and share the same fold, steering and safety certification.

Age rules out some options entirely, so it is worth checking before you decide on anything else.
Only one option. Most babies this age cannot sit unaided, so they need a seat that reclines. The Wonder max is the only smarTrike that does, dropping back to 140°. Nothing else in either range is suitable this early.
All five fit. Now the decision is how often you will use it. Occasional and travel use points to the Wind range. Daily use points to the Wonder range, and to the Wonder max if they still nap on the move.
A confident two year old will mostly be pedalling rather than being pushed, so the recline matters less. The Wonder is the lightest at 5.9 kg, and the Wonder+ adds more shade for time outdoors.
Shared across all five
Whichever you choose, none of this changes with the price.
One-handed control that turns on the spot and reverses through corners, so you can push, turn and carry something at once. It is the feature the whole brand was designed around.
Every smarTrike is tested to stroller safety standards rather than toy standards, which is the higher bar in child mobility. That includes a 5-point harness and a safety bumper bar with press-button release on every model.
Takes the jolt out of kerbs, tram tracks and cracked footpaths, with a one-touch rear brake so you can park on a slope without holding on.
Stroller mode while you steer, trike mode once they hold the handlebars, training mode as they find the pedals, then free riding.
Folds in seconds with no tools. Suitable for carry-on on many airlines, though cabin limits vary so always check with your airline before you fly.
Every smarTrike sold in Australia carries a 2 year warranty, on top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Free shipping Australia-wide.
The short answer
If this is going to be used most weeks rather than most holidays, the better fabrics, upgraded wheels and sturdier frame are what you are paying for, and they are what makes it still feel solid at year three. Start with the Wonder max if your child is under 10 months or still naps on the move.
