What "stroller standard" means
A toy standard checks that a product will not hurt a child who plays with it. A stroller standard checks that a child can be strapped into it and pushed on a public footpath: restraint strength, stability on slopes, brakes, folding locks, finger traps. Shoulders, hips and crotch. Used in stroller and trike modes, stowed away for free riding. Use it every time, even for a short walk.
Closes in front of the child and releases with a press, not a tug. Removable once they ride free.
Parks it on a slope. Press once to lock, once to release, without bending down.
The three-second fold only happens when you release it. It cannot fold with a child in it.
Takes the buzz out of footpaths and gravel, and keeps the front wheel planted through a turn.
Lightweight aluminium, tested for the whole age range to three years. Australian models include a tether strap and a red brake.
